Christmas at Bruce's

Every year there has always been so many conflicts with all of our schedules and who to spend Christmas with. This year Bruce (Joe's Dad) decided that we would celebrate it with him the Sunday prior to Christmas. Thanks Bruce! It worked out so great! We got to his house around 3pm to give him our gifts along with exchange sibling gifts. Then the Parkers and the Belliston grandparents came over for dinner. We ate a lot of really good food and then played a $5 gift exchange game. We had a lot of fun and a good time visiting with one another. It was really weird not having the next day be Christmas. This has been a Christmas Eve tradition in the past. But fun since it drags out the holiday a little longer. Only 3 more sleeps til Christmas!

Bruce gave all of our gifts in Harmons Go Green bags. Look at him saving the environment!

JJ gave Joe tickets to see the Jazz!

The kids were super excited about their gifts!

We played a new game this year with the kids and their $5 gifts. It was tons of fun. Thanks Candace for putting it together

We started a tradition a couple of years ago that each year one person who has accomplished something great within the last year would be honored with the ugly gong! Then that person will hang onto it all year long and at the Christmas party the following year they will pass it on to someone else. The gong does spend pretty much the entire year packed in a box. What, nobody wants to display it for all to see? This year Grandpa gave it to Tracy for being a full time student, working a part time job, babysitting her grandson part time, and for being a great wife, mother, and daughter. Congrats Tracy!
